Job Title: Media Manager

As a strategic media professional, you will lead a busy media unit overseeing the development and implementation of a state-wide media framework. You will be responsible for delivering high-level strategic media direction to stakeholders at an Executive level across the department and Government.

This is a key leadership role where you will develop and implement comprehensive media strategies for major policies and projects. Your expertise will ensure proactive media strategies and reactive media management, including those of a potentially sensitive and/or critical nature.

Key aspects of this position include:

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of a state-wide media framework and services across SA Health.
  • Delivering proactive media strategies and reactive media management, including those of a potentially sensitive and/or critical nature.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in media management, with a proven track record in journalism, public relations, or media liaison, preferably within a Government and/or health sector environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at an Executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability and judgment in providing strategic and innovative solutions to complex media and communications problems.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in briefings, reports, management plans, and other professional business communications.
