**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced aircrew officer to join our team at Westmead base. This fixed-based position involves conducting helicopter operations and undertaking aircrew duties in accordance with CareFlight's policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

• Undertaking aircrew duties as allocated
• Participating in aircrew officer training as required
• Acting as a media liaison as requested

**Requirements**

For this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 500 hours as a helicopter aircrew officer
• Previous SAR/EMS experience with a minimum of one year's full-time civil experience
• Front Left Hand ACO experience
• NVG competency in accordance with CASR Part 133
• Certificate IV in Aviation (Aircrewman)
• Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
• CASA Class 2 Medical
• A sound understanding of CRM/Human Factors, risk management, and safety management systems

**Desirable Qualifications**

• BK117-D2 experience
• First Aid / Resuscitation Certificate from a recognised authority
