About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Technology Procurement to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a key member of our Technology Procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across IT Procurement, delivering Software/SaaS and associated professional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an end-to-end Software/SaaS procurement category strategy, ensuring maximum value is created from external relationships.
  • Deliver on agreed targets and objectives through the implementation of strategic or tactical procurement strategies/plans, collaborating with key business owners and stakeholders.
  • Develop effective performance management strategies across all sub-categories and major suppliers, ensuring compliance with the Supplier Governance Framework.
  • Interact directly with the Technology Leadership Team and business leaders to develop, manage, and execute agreed procurement strategies, advocating for Bank-wide and Procurement processes and technology.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in end-to-end procurement category management, managing IT spend in complex environments.
  • Experience in large organisations with complex environments, achieving and being accountable for tangible commercial results.
  • Advanced understanding of leading practice procurement technology and commercial and contract negotiation skills.
  • Excellent ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, delivering quality outputs within tight timeframes.
