Job Description:

The Senior Hotel Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Department at our resort. Located in Darwin, Australia, this unique lodge is nestled in the heart of Kakadu National Park.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing month-end and year-end closing journals, compiling financial reports for management, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements, preparing quarterly GST submissions, and managing corporate tax compilation and submission.

They will also supervise the finance team, recruit and develop staff, ensure compliance with company policies, develop and deliver staff training, and manage team performance.

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within hospitality/finance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems
  • High attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
