Senior Director of Quality Assurance

As a key member of our Coates Group team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our software delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive test catalog for delivery and BAU systems, ensuring thorough coverage and efficiency.
- Design and implement test strategies and plans that align with company objectives and project timelines.
- Define test objectives, scope, and criteria for success, ensuring clear expectations and measurable outcomes.
- Lead the identification and prioritization of testing activities, balancing project timelines and risks.
- Review and enhance the defect management process, standardizing the lifecycle and ownership of issues within release delivery.
- Hold development teams accountable for investigating, reproducing, and resolving issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are testable and rework levels are within acceptable limits.
- Verify fixes and ensure they meet expected customer quality standards, maintaining the highest level of quality.
- Establish and track key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of testing activities, driving continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide QA engineers, providing technical assistance and career development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the QA team, promoting a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior software quality assurance leadership position.
- 10+ years of managing Senior Test Managers.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of quality control and quality assurance methods and techniques.
- Experience with auditing, inspection, and testing processes.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- In-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- High level of knowledge of programming languages for test automation (e.g., Python).
- Proven successful experience in developing test plans and conducting system and integration testing.
- Experience with issue tracking systems, with extensive use of JIRA.
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification (CTASL-TM).
