EHS Management Systems and Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS professional to lead our efforts in ensuring the highest standards for improving and maintaining our WHS and Environment Assurance and Audit Program.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for consultation across all levels within the organization in the maintenance and delivery of the WHS and Environmental Assurance and Audit program.
  • Key responsibilities include applying a continuous improvement approach to the delivery of the WHS and Environmental assurance and audit program, aligned to the Safety and Environmental strategies, legal requirements and ISO 45001 and 14001 requirements.
  • This role will also involve leading improvements to maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification across the organization.
  • Additionally, you will undertake and lead internal EHS assurance and audit activities.
  • You will prepare and provide reports on the outputs of EHS assurance and audit activities to stakeholders, including the EHS Executive Council, Sites/Programs and customers.
  • Responsibilities will also include managing and improving the organization's safety, health and environmental management systems, including the promotion and education of the systems.
  • You will work closely with the IT Team to provide support in the use of Cority (Safety Management system), including improvements.
  • Your expertise will also be required to assist with incorporating new or changed WHS or environmental requirements into management system documents, including broad research, writing, consultation and implementation.
  • Finally, you will assist in communicating and reviewing progress of the Safety and Environment strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in EHS management systems and assurance;
  • Strong understanding of WHS and environmental legislation and regulations;
  • Proven ability to apply a continuous improvement approach;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Proficient in the use of Cority (Safety Management system);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to prepare and present reports to stakeholders;
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
