We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Disability Support Worker to provide individualized support to our clients in the Ararat area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centered care, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being of our clients.

Job Description:

We offer a range of shifts including day, evening, night, weekend, sleepover, and active nights, with a minimum of 8 hours per shift.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals living with mental health disorders, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

About the Role:

  • Deliver individualized support to clients in their homes or community settings
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility
  • Support clients to participate in recreational activities and maintain social connections
  • Monitor and report client progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including doctors, therapists, and family members, to ensure comprehensive care
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Supports or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with individuals living with mental health disorders
  • Current NDIS Screening Check, Police Check, First Aid/CPR certification, and full driver's license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
