About the Role

As a senior operational leader, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of a large-scale solar farm located in Armidale. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site, while also maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

">Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all facets of the solar farm's operations, including safety, environment, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  2. Promote a positive health, safety, and environment culture and provide strong leadership in this area.
  3. Lead and support the site team collaboratively, fostering an open and transparent working environment.
  4. Oversee the smooth transition from construction to operations, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
  5. Supervise contractors to ensure high-quality services and adherence to health and safety standards.
  6. Plan and manage all maintenance and repair activities within budget and timelines.
  7. Optimize solar farm production to maximize revenue and minimize downtime.
  8. Implement best practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  9. Respond to emergencies outside core working hours as needed, demonstrating a commitment to the safety of personnel and assets.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the community and landowners, promoting a positive image of the organization.
  11. Collaborate with central support teams and maintain strong internal relationships, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  12. Support operations projects and contribute to leadership across the department, driving business growth and success.

Qualifications & Experience
A relevant degree or trade qualification, 5+ years' experience in asset management or a similar role, experience with renewable energy generation assets beneficial.
