Job Title: Environmental Department Manager

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is hiring an Environmental Department Manager based out of the Charlotte, North Carolina office. This candidate will oversee a team of 3 direct reports and will work on projects throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing a team of 3 direct reports
  • Preparing and executing reports and other client correspondence
  • Providing oversight, QA/QC, analysis, laboratory testing and field services as required to meet our clients' expectations
  • Client consultation and maintenance
  • Sales and marketing efforts to develop new business and grow the company
  • Preparation of proposals and contract documents
  • Assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of Environmental Consulting experience
  • Professional Geologist (P.G.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly preferred
  • Project experience with Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessment (ESAs) is required

Working Environment:

Positions require ability to lift and/or move pounds occasionally. Must be able to accomplish field tasks under adverse weather and/or site conditions. Working environment can be moderately noisy to loud in nature. Some assignments may require working in confined spaces or climbing and working at above average heights.
