About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As a key member of our community care services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with mental health conditions.
Job Summary
This is a part-time opportunity (4 hours per week) located in Campbelltown, where you will be responsible for delivering carer support services and working closely with clients to promote their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support to clients with mental health conditions, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory).
- A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle.
- Satisfactory Police Records Check (less than 12 months old) and Working with Children Check.
- Manual handling training desirable.
- Rights to work in Australia.
- Willingness to work flexible hours on a fortnightly roster.
- Availability and willingness to use personal smartphone (iPhone or Android).
- Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
