About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud FinOps Specialist to join our team at Canva. As a key member of our Cloud FinOps team, you will play a critical role in building and promoting a cost-aware culture that empowers engineers to maximize the value of every dollar spent in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies to reduce unnecessary expenses and improve financial efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
  • Work closely with engineers to promote a cost-aware culture and provide guidance on cloud cost optimization best practices.
  • Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions to improve cloud infrastructure management and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud costs to identify areas for improvement and optimize cloud resource usage.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Golang or Python programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EKS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, or equivalent cloud provider experience.
  • Experience with cloud architecture design, implementation, and management.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical ideas and solutions effectively.
