
Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced accounts payable and receivable professional to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting accurate and timely financial operations.
The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and/or experience in accounts payable/receivable processing and reconciliations. They will possess sound understanding of finance principles and general ledger allocations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable and receivable processing to enhance cashflow and minimize company exposure. They will collaborate with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers to maintain accuracy, resolve queries quickly, and provide exceptional service.
The role requires strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume tasks. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, are essential. The successful candidate will also have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
Proficiency in Excel and SAP Business One is desirable. Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills with a proactive mindset are highly valued. A genuine commitment to learning, development, and our values is expected.
About this role:
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable processing
- Collaborate with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers
- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and purchases within required timeframes
- Maintain vendor accounts, ensuring data integrity and payments are up to date
- Prepare and process EFT payments for approval
- Undertake collections, reconciliations, and credit administration tasks
- Work with supply operations and customer service teams to follow up claims and resolve payment issues
- Assist with month-end reporting and period closures
About You
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in accounts payable/receivable processing and reconciliations
- Sound understanding of finance principles and general ledger allocations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume tasks
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach
- Proficiency in Excel and SAP Business One desirable
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills with a proactive mindset
