We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Nutrition Specialist to become a vital member of our Allied Health Team. This role presents a unique opportunity to implement both group and individual interventions as part of our specialized Eating Disorder Program.

The ideal candidate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, providing therapeutic support for patients facing various mental health challenges. Responsibilities include assisting our core nutrition team by facilitating group sessions for eating disorder programs, developing meal plans, and working alongside the broader Healthscope team to deliver outstanding services to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate, document, and evaluate nutrition-based therapy groups tailored to patient needs within a private psychiatric context.
  • Deliver an engaging, evidence-based group program as part of our comprehensive Eating Disorder initiative.
  • Conduct individual dietary assessments and reviews for inpatients.
  • Collaborate as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, aligning with Healthscope's values.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, supervise fellow nutrition specialists, and contribute to service evaluations as necessary.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration in Dietetics as recognized in Victoria.
  • Experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges.
  • Prior experience with clients suffering from eating disorders is highly regarded.
  • Proven high-level organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
