About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team at PACT Group. As a key member of our Site-based team, you will provide hands-on support on all aspects of maintenance and upkeep of all manufacturing assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support to the Maintenance Manager and production team
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Conducting root cause analysis on critical failures and implementing corrective actions
  • Coordinating with production team for downtime and ensuring minimal disruption
  • Managing inventory of spare parts and future repairs
  • Ensuring adherence to WHSE standards and compliance with policy, guidelines, and better practice frameworks
  • Implementing and managing continuous improvement principles
  • Ensuring reliability and maintainability of all equipment is at or above target levels

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Mechanical trade qualifications
  • Restricted or full electrical license desirable but not essential
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic plant and equipment
  • Superior communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in managing a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Proven ability to problem solve for emergency maintenance and repair
