Domestic Student Recruitment Advisor

This role plays a pivotal part in fostering strong connections on behalf of La Trobe University to achieve its strategic objective of recruiting high-quality applicants across Australia.

The Domestic Student Recruitment Advisor is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with targeted secondary schools and implementing student recruitment initiatives. The position has ownership of a key strategic portfolio area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the work of the Marketing Officer, Sales and Engagement to ensure the University provides appropriate information and services to future students and stakeholders.
  • Develop and strengthen existing and new relationships with education providers and teachers from key feeder and target secondary schools across the region.
  • Plan and execute high-quality student recruitment events such as Experience La Trobe and campus Open Day.
  • Manage and recruit students into La Trobe's Aspire Early Entry Programs and Pathways.
  • Represent the University at selected recruitment activities and exhibitions.
  • Present information to different audience types, including secondary school students, TAFE students, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the capacity to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage events and projects.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking ability.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside normal office hours.
