Job Title: Systems Integration Lab Service Manager

Job Summary:

The role of the ILS/Systems Integration Lab Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of a Systems Integration Lab (SIL). This includes ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the SIL, including its network, infrastructure, and business applications.

This involves working closely with Defence business areas and industry partners to ensure the SIL is secure, stable, and fit for purpose. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining lab procedures, processes, and best practice support that enables efficient and effective testing of software and hardware.

Additonally, you will be responsible for ensuring the lab environment meets all safety, security, and compliance standards, controlling the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement, and disposal of SIL assets, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and external vendors to coordinate integration efforts, resolve technical issues, and organize efficient logistics movements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in systems integration lab environments and maintaining secure networks
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for lab operations and systems integrations
  • A background in ILS or logistics management within engineering defence environments with a strong understanding of systems integration and supply chain processes
