About Our Graduate Program

At Scope (Aust), we are committed to supporting and developing the next generation of therapists. Our 12-month graduate program is designed to expand on your university studies, providing a comprehensive and structured learning experience that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your career.

Program Objectives

  • To build your clinical knowledge and skills through a combination of formal training, workshops, and practical experience.
  • To develop your professional identity and confidence in your role as a therapist.
  • To facilitate your connections to the broader therapy team and multidisciplinary service teams across Victoria and NSW.
  • To support your understanding and use of systems and processes, including our scheduler and tools and resources for clinical practices.
  • To create opportunities for you to contribute to the organisation and develop your skills and expertise.

Program Structure

The graduate program is designed to interconnect your learning and development journey with your role as a therapist. You will be allocated 1 day per week (for 12 months) for the graduate program, with a hybrid delivery to allow you to focus on the weekly topic and engage with your graduate cohort.

Support and Supervision

During the graduate program, you will be supported by your Graduate Coordinator and Team Leader, who will work with you to establish your own caseload of clients and provide regular supervision and feedback.

About the Role

As a therapist in our graduate program, you will be responsible for delivering therapy to children, young people, and adults who are experiencing learning, language, sensory, intellectual, physical, and cognitive difficulties. You will work with our clients, families, and their support networks formally and informally, and collaborate with a dynamic team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.

Requirements

  • Recently completed or will be completing your university studies in Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy in 2024.
  • A strong academic record and a passion for working with children, young people, and adults with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
