Primary Teacher Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Visual Arts programs for students in Year 2 – Year 6, aligned with the WA Arts curriculum.

Key responsibilities include teaching a range of skills and techniques, such as ceramics, painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, textiles, and digital art. Evaluation of the effectiveness of teaching programs will be conducted using assessment data, informing planning for students across the school.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Visual Arts programs that meet the needs of all students.
  • Teach a variety of skills and techniques, including ceramics, painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, textiles, and digital art.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs using assessment data to inform planning for students.
  • Coordinate Visual Arts school exhibitions and develop links with community groups and external artists to enhance the school's Arts program.

Qualifications and requirements for this position include:

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit.
