Visionary Urban Planning Director

Arup is seeking a skilled Urban Planner to lead strategic planning workstreams across multidisciplinary projects in policy, transport, energy, environment, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement urban planning strategies integrating sustainability and policy insight.
- Represent the organization in internal and external meetings, collaborating with clients to address complex urban challenges.
- Contribute to business development through proposal preparation and tender responses.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting their professional growth.
- Manage planning deliverables according to quality management standards, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field, along with a tertiary qualification.
- Strong knowledge of NSW planning framework, policies, and guidelines.
- Proven experience in urban planning, city economics, and transport planning within a consulting environment.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to mentor junior staff and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
