Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned capital strategist to join our team and drive the development of our global capital strategy.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization, leveraging their expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute the multi-year Group strategic capital plan, working closely with Group and Divisional teams to conduct forecasts and planning related to regulatory capital metrics, balance sheets, and dividends.
  2. Conduct financial modeling to assess the impact of strategic initiatives on key Group metrics, including debt and equity capital markets issuances, strategic reinsurance transactions, investment portfolio decisions, and other non-standard corporate transactions.
  3. Support engagement with credit rating agencies, preparing presentation materials and financial analysis of rating agency metrics, as well as managing preparation of key rating agency capital models and developing key insights from a commercial and reporting perspective.
  4. Assist in preparing and coordinating submissions to executive management, including CFO Board reports.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding and knowledge of regulatory capital frameworks for general insurers.
  • Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet understanding for a general insurer.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, coupled with an ability to clearly convey the rationale and impacts of strategic initiatives.
  • A good understanding of global financial market and economic conditions.
  • Demonstrated expertise within the insurance industry is advantageous.
