About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join our team in delivering high-quality resident-centred care.

The primary purpose of this position is to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in providing total nursing care to residents.

  • Assess individual resident needs and assist the care team in developing and evaluating nursing strategies and care plans.
  • Perform nursing tasks using a structured approach with minimal supervision.
  • Implement planned nursing care to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Exercise sound judgement in identifying situations requiring consultation with a Registered Nurse or additional support.
  • Collect, report, and document accurate timely data on residents and facility operations.
  • Administer medications as per current legislative requirements and in a safe manner.
  • Monitor and report the effects of pharmacological interventions.
  • Promote safe outcomes for residents and staff by recognising potential harm.
  • Communicate effectively and participate in decision-making and advocate for residents.
  • Delegate duties to staff based on their level of competence.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated competence in nursing practice, with residential aged care experience an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and common law pertaining to enrolled nursing practice.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement and high standards of care.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with staff and residents.
