Job Description

Job Title: Automotive Technical Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technical Advisor to join our team at AUTOrecruit. As a Technical Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our Workshop, providing expert advice to customers on technical issues, and mentoring and training staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice to customers on technical issues
  • Mentor, train and provide workshop support to staff
  • Producing repair orders
  • Attending technical training when required
  • Working closely with all staff in the department, while reporting to the Service Manager
  • Liaising with workshop to ensure time constraints are met
  • Diagnosing of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
  • Assisting workshop technicians with technical issues
  • Parts ordering
  • Handling customer complaints
  • Promoting a safe work environment
  • Warranty requirements

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must hold strong mechanical abilities, whilst also having the right nature to train and mentor staff and also assist customers in understanding technical issues with their vehicles.
