Lead Acquisition Specialist Role

DHA seeks a Lead Acquisition Specialist to oversee the acquisition of development sites, supporting DHA's housing needs for ADF members and their families.

About Us

DHA was established in 1988 to provide adequate and suitable housing for, and housing related services to, members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. Our purpose remains committed to providing housing and housing-related services to support Defence's operational needs.

We manage an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provide housing for over 17,200 ADF members and their families and administer rent allowance for more than 16,000 ADF members and their families in private rental accommodation.

Job Description
  • Conduct complex feasibility analysis to identify development opportunities.
  • Provide detailed recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Apply highly developed analytical and negotiation skills to resolve issues and manage risk.
  • Coordinate a range of activities with independence while working as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, project management, and strong communication.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in residential land acquisition and construction.
  • Advanced knowledge of urban planning frameworks governing development.
  • Extensive knowledge of due diligence and property financing criteria.
  • Strong negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder relationship skills.
