Remote Healthcare Specialist
As a Child Health Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Kimberley families. The role is highly rewarding and suited to someone who values purpose-driven work, continuous development, and creating real impact in remote communities.
The primary focus of this position is to deliver child health services to Aboriginal children aged 0–5 across Broome and surrounding communities. This involves providing scheduled developmental health checks and childhood immunisations, facilitating recalls, screenings, and follow-ups, and providing case management for at-risk children and coordinating specialist referrals.
A key aspect of this role is promoting the uptake of the Kimberley Maternal & Child Health Protocols, ensuring that local families receive access to high-quality healthcare services. To achieve this, you will be working closely with local stakeholders, developing strong relationships and fostering a sense of community engagement.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a supportive, culturally connected organisation that provides centralised advocacy and resource support for independent member services. The organisation has successfully delivered high-quality, accessible, comprehensive primary health care services over its years of operation.
