Assistant Centre Manager

Guardian seeks a dedicated team player to support the Centre Leadership Team in creating a safe and secure environment for young children.

About the Role

As an Assistant Centre Manager, you will:

  • Support the Centre Leadership Team in developing a culture of quality and safety that makes us the centre of choice in our community.
  • Build lasting and meaningful relationships with families to ensure they feel informed and sure their children are receiving the best education and care.
  • Contribute to making our centre an example of why we are driven by our mindsets of being brave, positive, thoughtful, and professional in all aspects of our work.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A completed Diploma in Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Education (or working towards it).
  • Prior experience working in a long day-care centre in a leadership role or in a management role.
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Good knowledge regarding the 11-child safe standards and child protection.
  • Budget and financial accountability experience (including Labour cost experience).
  • Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, and valid Working with Children check for VIC state.
