Senior BIM Information Manager Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing post-award Information Management Plans, procedures, and workflows to support information production and delivery processes within defined project areas.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Information Standards and Information Management quality processes, contributing to the Information Management risk management strategy, and identifying and addressing risks to the engagement's outcomes.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in data-centric BIM execution for EPCM and/or Design-Build delivery models.
  • Strong background in architecture, computer science, engineering, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement post-award Information Management Plans, procedures, and workflows to support information production and delivery processes.
  2. Ensure compliance with Information Standards and Information Management quality processes.
  3. Contribute to the Information Management risk management strategy and identify & address risks to the engagement's outcomes.
  4. Implement and support training plans to ensure all members of the disciplines are sufficiently trained.
  5. Manage data flows and work processes to enable data-centric delivery - maintaining consistency and quality across deliverables including data, documents, drawings and models.
  6. Actively promote the facilitation of visual design coordination to ensure design intent across all disciplines.
  7. C coach functional and discipline teams to leverage design coordination and clash detection tools within their own discipline to proactively design outcomes in a smart and timely manner.
  8. Oversee a consistent approach to modelling of graphical (3D) data and inclusion of non-graphical data across, including appropriate technologies.
  9. Ensure BIM processes/workflows are communicated and followed across the project for the federation and quality assurance of design models - graphical and data checking and verification, clash mitigation and control - general information for reports, model production and delivery.
  10. Engage and collaborate with supply chain and sub-contractors to directly integrate fabrication/construction models within design models to ensure compliance.
  11. Client liaison and communication.
