Job Opportunity: Financial Risk Management Expert

We are seeking a skilled Financial Risk Manager to provide expert advice and recommendations to senior management on non-insurance financial risks. This role is part of our Group Risk department in Sydney, focusing on providing oversight and guidance.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review and challenge key financial risk documents and committee papers, ensuring accurate and comprehensive analysis.
  • Develop an enhanced oversight process to capture, analyze, and report on financial risk data, driving informed decision-making.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with the Group Risk and Finance teams, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the preparation of papers for the Risk Executive Leadership Team, enhancing strategic planning and execution.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in actuarial, product & pricing, corporate finance or financial roles, showcasing your expertise in financial risk areas.
  • Specialist knowledge in financial risk areas such as capital or investments, enabling you to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, allowing you to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and drive projects forward.
  • Tertiary qualification/s in actuarial studies, statistics, mathematics, or related business/finance fields, demonstrating your academic achievements and dedication to the field.
