We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team at Job2Go Pty Ltd.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate materials required for each project.
  • Set up and secure scaffolding, cradles, and ladders.
  • Protect surrounding areas from paint drips and spills.
  • Remove and store fixtures to prevent damage.
  • Sand, scrape, or use chemical paint removers to remove old paint or finishes.
  • Repair and prepare surfaces by fixing woodwork, filling or sealing holes, cracks, and joints.
  • Thoroughly clean surfaces to remove dust, dirt, and grease.
  • Apply primers or sealers to ensure proper paint adhesion and durability.
  • Select and mix paints to achieve desired colors.
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using various techniques.
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as spray guns or airless sprayers.
  • Create unique and decorative paint finishes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Dispose of waste materials properly.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Continuously improve skills and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned after use.
  • Maintain a tidy workspace by promptly removing all debris and waste materials.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards on-site.
  • Use appropriate safety equipment and protective gear to minimize risk.
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and goggles.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incidents and follow the company's procedures for incident reporting and investigation.
  • Use environmentally friendly products where possible.
  • Dispose of paint and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Painting.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant Painting experience.
