About the Role

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our award-winning general revenue workshop in Townsville.

This is a Permanent, full-time Monday to Friday opportunity to work with advanced technology, including computer-controlled systems and electronic diagnostic tools.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of CAT machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, and track-type tractors.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting, or a similar field (Cert III Engineering).
  • Demonstrated minimum 2 years post-trade mechanical fitting experience.
  • Previous experience with CAT machinery and diagnostic systems desirable.
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
  • A continuous improvement commitment and positive attitude.
