We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Leading Hand Diesel Fitter at our MMG's Dugald River Mine in North West Qld.
As a Leading Hand Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of maintenance crew members to achieve required results. Your duties will be varied and involve:
- Managing and allocating resources to scheduled and planned maintenance.
- Ensuring all work allocated for the crew is carried out, equipment is statutory compliant, all breakdowns are fixed in a timely manner, and all work is done to a high safety standard.
- Assisting fitters with the mechanical and hydraulic diagnosis and repair of faults when required.
- Filing documents daily.
- Investigating ICAM incidents as required.
- Working within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a heavy vehicle/diesel fitting trade qualification, a valid Australian Drivers Licence, and be able to obtain a National Police Check within 3 months. You will also be able to contribute and work well within a supportive and dynamic crew culture.
