We are seeking applications from registered nurses who wish to gain a registered midwife qualification. This exciting opportunity is offered in partnership with the University of Notre Dame, providing paid post-graduate student midwife positions that enable you to be employed while gaining the clinical experiences and academic requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Midwifery.
About the OpportunityYou will be offered permanent part-time employment as a registered nurse/student midwife, with access to paid study leave. A place on the Notre Dame University Graduate Diploma in Midwifery course is guaranteed for successful candidates, but enrolment and payment of course fees are arranged directly with the university.
Key Requirements- Enrolled or eligible to enrol in the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at the University of Notre Dame
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- At least one year post graduate experience as a Registered Nurse

Becoming a Registered MidwifeThis opportunity provides a clear pathway into our Graduate Midwife Program on completion of your qualification. You will gain diverse range of clinical rotations in our maternity units, rostered shifts in a maternity setting that count towards your clinical placement hours for the post-graduate course, and paid supernumerary rotations in birth suite and neonates.
