Groundskeeper Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Groundskeeper to join our team at COS-AUS.

As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of both indoor and outdoor spaces within our properties.

Main Responsibilities:

• Landscape Maintenance: Mowing lawns, trimming edges, pruning shrubs, clearing gutters, and weeding
• Irrigation Systems: Watering of plants, lawns, and gardens
• Repairs and Maintenance: Performing general repairs and maintenance as requested
• Pest and Weed Control
• Equipment Maintenance
• Waste Management: Collecting and disposing of green waste, litter, and other debris
• Seasonal Tasks: Assisting with seasonal tasks such as planting, mulching, and leaf removal

Requirements:

• Previous experience in grounds keeping or landscaping roles preferred
• Knowledge of horticultural practices, including plant identification, soil maintenance, and pest management
• Ability to operate grounds keeping equipment safely and effectively
• Previous experience in general repairs and maintenance within the facilities management space
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in landscaping or grounds keeping preferred but not required
• Certification in carpentry preferred but not required
