Your focus will include:

* Providing accounting and finance support to the team
* Supporting business decision making through value-added data analysis of sales, margin, and expenses
* Completing month-end activities, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning

Responsibilities:

* Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, systems, customers, products, and key drivers of success
* Keep the Finance Manager informed of significant findings and recommend improvements
* Conduct ad hoc \"what if\" financial analyses and contribute to financial reporting processes
* Perform monthly margin analytics and address anomalies with branches
* Ensure timely, accurate financial results, including General Ledger, Reconciliations, Intercompany Accounting, Standing Journals, and KPI reporting
* Support the preparation of forecasts, budgets, capital reporting, and drive improvements in month-end processes
* Assist in generating capital requests, conducting cost/savings analysis, and maintaining the fixed asset register
* Prepare monthly capital expenditure reports and perform post-audits of completed projects
* Build positive relationships internally and externally
* Ensure robust controls around pricing changes and collaborate with Central Procurement on product pricing
* Support vendor setup, purchase orders, and value-add initiatives focused on customer profitability

Requirements:

* Tertiary qualification in a commercial stream (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business)
* Pursuit of CA/CPA qualifications, or desire to acquire
* Minimum 3+ years accounting experience ideally in a commercial business environment
* Experience in SAP (preferred) or any other ERP system
* Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Previous experience business partnering highly desirable)
* Ability to meet project deadlines, engaging in teamwork and individual activities
* High attention to detail, excellent time management and result driven acumen
