Are you a skilled BIM modeling specialist looking for a new challenge? We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Cloud Infrastructure BIM Modeling Specialist at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining Architectural, Civil, and Structural (ACS) BIM models for our data centers globally.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. As a Cloud Infrastructure BIM Modeling Specialist, you'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and maintain ACS BIM models, working closely with the Global BIM team to ensure consistency and accuracy across APAC and EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Create concept designs based on existing AWS templates for regions, enabling consultants to start specific projects using the most up-to-date information.
  • Review structural and civil models submitted by consultants, ensuring they meet AWS standards and follow Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
  • Work with design consultants on in-flight projects across multiple geographical locations, providing guidance on AWS requirements from design through construction.
  • Lead BIM oversight of the CSA aspects of the data center life cycle, including design, construction, and maintenance of BIM models.
  • Collaborate with the AWS Infrastructure Delivery Team and Real Estate team to produce conceptual site test fits for new regions, determining suitability for future projects.
A Day in the Life

As a Cloud Infrastructure BIM Modeling Specialist, your day will be filled with creating and maintaining ACS templates, partnering with consultants on projects, and ensuring adherence to AWS BIM standards. You'll also have the opportunity to review in-flight projects, discuss process improvements, and work with the wider AWS ACS teams to drive innovation and project success.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of cumulative experience in industrial or commercial structural model and drawing production of critical facilities/large industries.
  • 8+ years of experience using Revit for producing structural engineering models and drawings.
  • 8+ years of experience using AutoCAD to produce architecture or engineering drawings.
  • 5+ years of experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a structural coordination role, demonstrating strong ownership of projects.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Navisworks.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
