English Language Instructor Opportunity

A private English language school located in Manly NSW is seeking a skilled English Language Instructor to deliver face-to-face courses with online support.

Courses are designed to provide students with the opportunity to improve their English language skills, and instructors play a crucial role in supporting this process.

**Key Requirements:**

  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
  • Recognised degree or equivalent
  • Recognised TESOL qualification or recognised degree in education with TESOL method
  • Recent Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (an advantage)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Appropriate Australian work permit

**Selection Criteria and Qualifications:**

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adult EAL management skills
  • Self-motivated as well as a motivator
  • Focused on student engagement and learning
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be receptive to feedback and change
  • A good ear for pronunciation errors and ability to error correct

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, adult EAL management skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a team environment. They must also possess a good ear for pronunciation errors and be able to error correct effectively.

The instructor will be required to work afternoon and evening shifts, delivering 20 hours of instruction per week. Remuneration is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Contract Details:

  • Contract length: 6-12 months
  • Salary: $60-$70 per hour
  • Expected hours: 20 per week
