Emergency Ultrasound Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Ultrasound Specialist to join our critical care division within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.

This exciting opportunity offers a chance to enhance expertise in emergency ultrasound special skills rotation.

The selected candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, collaborating to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve proficiency in emergency ultrasound techniques, including EFAST, AAA, FELS, lung and procedural needle guidance.
  • Contribute to accurate and timely diagnoses, enabling swift and effective treatment plans.
  • Develop skills and knowledge in clinician-performed ultrasound, with access to various machines and experienced staff.
  • Pursue quality improvement processes and education, with opportunities for project development and presentation at scientific conferences or journal publication.
  • Participate in managerial aspects of running an ultrasound program, including image review, reporting, and record keeping.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to patients in critical situations.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
