As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. This is an opportunity to utilize your lived experience and share your story with others, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group peer support services across various settings, including inpatient and community services.
- Offer advocacy and support at review tribunals and key appointments, empowering individuals to take control of their lives.
- Promote recovery through values of hope, empathy, equality, and empowerment, fostering a culture of wellness and resilience.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to design and deliver services that meet the unique needs of consumers, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
- Educate staff and consumers about peer services and recovery principles, promoting a deeper understanding of the importance of peer support.
You will work closely with our Mental Health Services team to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. If you are passionate about supporting others and promoting recovery, this is an excellent opportunity to make a difference.
