Job Description

We are a team committed to providing exceptional services in underwriting. Our goal is to work fairly and promptly, maintaining a broad range of products and global operations.

This role is designed to provide a strong foundation of underwriting knowledge and industry experience to support a career pathway in insurance.

  • Assist Underwriters in achieving new business, rate and retention targets for assigned book of business to support revenue goals.
  • Assist with preparation for account reviews with Underwriters/management, demonstrating knowledge of risk, industry, competitive environment and capabilities.
  • Assist Underwriters in managing sales pipeline to identify and develop new business prospects.
  • Assist Underwriters in providing input on underwriting results, profit analysis, market environment, competitor analysis and ad hoc reports.
  • Adhere to appropriate underwriting, compliance and file documentation standards and workflows to support revenue goals; evaluate and make recommendations for acceptance or declination on risks based on guidelines.
  • Build good working relationships with local underwriting teams and ensure regular communication with local underwriting management on appropriate issues.
  • Support the underwriting community through liaison with and participation at meetings with brokers, internal departments and external advisers.
Qualifications
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and Outlook; excellent general computer literacy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills and customer-centric attitude
  • Attention to detail and desire to deliver quality
  • Experience working with data sets
  • Problem resolution and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative
