Care and Support Role

The care services assistant plays a vital frontline role with a focus on nutrition and dining. This position supports residents to live a life of fulfillment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to individual needs and preferences. Key responsibilities include preparing, delivering, and serving resident meals, as well as assisting with meal selection and timing preferences.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences.
  • Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes.
  • Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect.
  • Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
  • Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with established standards.

About You:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • A compassionate and caring attitude.
  • Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded).
  • Willingness to take direction from others.
  • Reliability and shift flexibility.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
