Job Summary:
The Clinical Practice Leader plays a pivotal role in driving forward-thinking nursing knowledge and professional practice, ensuring evidence-based patient care.
This position requires exceptional leadership skills as they interact with various healthcare teams including nurses, doctors, and other allied health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced evidence-based nursing practice to inform decision-making and drive positive change within the organization.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills through case consultation, clinical demonstrations, and bedside rounds.
- Act as a resource person for nursing and allied health professionals providing guidance on patient-focused outcomes and best practices.
- Develop and implement program-specific patient/nursing care standards aligned with corporate strategic direction and recognized specialty care association guidelines.
- Lead the development and revision of evidence-based clinical standards and core competencies.
- Model excellence in nursing practice and process delivering high-quality patient care and education.
- Design and implement nursing education and professional development programs assessing educational needs and establishing clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of recent relevant clinical experience are mandatory.
- Previous experience in patient/family/staff teaching is highly valued.
- French language proficiency is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the College of Nurses.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing is mandatory; Master's in Nursing is preferred.
- ACLS certification is required.
