Warehouse Operations Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a driven and focused professional to join our operations team at Berrinba QLD. Your mission will be to identify process improvements across warehouse business operations and drive both profit improvements and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with sites to improve their processes in line with lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Deliver project improvements with focus on identifying opportunities, process re-engineering, driving efficiency through process change, and redesigning and implementing operational layout changes.
  • Provide guidance and support to sites to enable them to successfully conduct and complete kaizen activities and through training, coaching and data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain BPE tools: such as 5s & scheduling tool, performance boards, productivity reports, utilisation reports.
  • Guide and drive operations teams to achieve and maintain target levels on site accreditation program.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualified in industrial engineering or related field.
  • Solid experience gained in a related role in any industry (preference for logistics / supply chain, manufacturing, resources, or related).
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with utilising process improvement tools, kaizen, lean, etc.
  • Clear communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Strong MS Excel skills including use of vlookups, pivot tables (bonus: vba, macros)
  • Bonus: autocad or similar.
