Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, improving the developer experience at the edge, and influencing platform direction.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement core components of the edge platform, including worker frameworks, infrastructure automation, and observability tooling.

Your primary goal will be to improve the system's reliability, performance, and security, with significant ownership of services or components.

As a key member of our team, you will mentor other engineers, provide actionable feedback, and help build a learning-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement core components of the edge platform
  • Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, performance, and security
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders to define high-impact solutions
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to post-incident learning and prevention
Requirements
  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and security
  • Strong understanding of DNS, Firewall, Security, Load Balancing, CDN, and Edge Computing
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major edge provider such as Cloudflare, Fastly, or Akamai is essential
  • Experience building and managing Cloudflare Workers or similar edge runtime environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering impactful projects independently or across teams
