As a graduate product design engineer, you will design and develop innovative hardware products from concept to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience. Your experience in design engineering will be crucial in driving our projects to success and exceeding customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilising design thinking to navigate the discovery and delivery process.
- Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Conceptualising ideas through multiple mediums (sketches, low-fidelity prototypes, rapid prototyping etc.).
- Using 3D CAD to communicate detailed designs ensuring fit, form, and function (including tolerance analysis & DFMEA).
- Conducting feasibility studies, creating prototypes, and performing rigorous testing to validate design concepts.
- Using 2D CAD tools to develop part specifications and technical drawings to communicate detailed designs with suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, NX).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal, ability to clearly communicate design ideas, contribute to brainstorming.
