Graduate Design Engineer Position

As a graduate product design engineer, you will design and develop innovative hardware products from concept to production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilising design thinking to navigate the discovery and delivery process.
  • Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Conceptualising ideas through multiple mediums (sketches, low-fidelity prototypes, rapid prototyping etc.).
  • Using 3D CAD to communicate detailed designs ensuring fit, form, and function (including tolerance analysis & DFMEA).
  • Conducting feasibility studies, creating prototypes, and performing rigorous testing to validate design concepts.
  • Using 2D CAD tools to develop part specifications and technical drawings to communicate detailed designs with suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, NX).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal, ability to clearly communicate design ideas, contribute to brainstorming.
