About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to provide employee relations advice to our members, on a full-time basis. If you want to expand your knowledge on HR/ER within a supportive environment, then this role is for you.

Job Description

As a part of our Employee Relations Advice Centre (also known as the Employee Relations Helpline), you can expect to:

  • Offer advice on a range of HR/ER/IR matters;
  • Interpret awards and agreements;
  • Research technical matters including legislation and case law;
  • Assist in HR/ER projects in collaboration with our Human Resources & Workplace Relations teams;
  • Undertake award allocations and write articles on HR/ER topics; and
  • Review and update ER publications.

This is a role where you will further develop and utilise your technical capabilities in a supportive environment that fosters continuous learning and development.

The role is available on a full-time, permanent basis with an immediate start.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a patient, positive and organised individual who can provide relevant and accurate ER and HR advice to our members. You will have an aptitude for learning information quickly and importantly, be passionate about human resources and industrial relations with a genuine interest in furthering your technical skills and career.

To be considered for these roles, you will have:

  • Completed or currently studying a tertiary qualification in HR/IR/ER or law;
  • Proven experience or interest in HR/ER/IR;
  • Experience in customer service is desirable;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven analytical and research skills with a strong desire to keep up to date with the latest legislation;
  • The ability to empathise with members' individual situations;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team; and
  • Experience in the use of Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
