About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Critical Care Specialist to work in a regional ICU setting, providing high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients. The hospital has a well-resourced medical and nursing workforce, with a diverse and challenging case mix that includes trauma, interventional cardiology, general surgery, infectious diseases, tropical, and complex medical presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care services to adult and pediatric patients in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
  • Collaborate with local pediatricians and tertiary PICU specialists in Townsville to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
  • Participate in an active education program, supporting professional development and continuous improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FCICM) or equivalent overseas training.
