Casual Nurse Educator Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced nurse educator to join our team at Torrens University Australia. As a casual nurse educator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the development of our nursing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and teach nursing program content using flexible learning modes to accommodate student needs and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Mentor students to understand and utilize the codes and standards of professional practice relating to nursing.
  • Utilize learning technology effectively and embed it in design and delivery.
  • Engage in student-centered learning and teaching practices, maintaining an active and positive education experience.
  • Engage in a model of best practice in applying pedagogical principles, instructional strategies, and communication strategies appropriate to the learners.
  • Provide ongoing assessment support for students to satisfactorily complete assessment tasks.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in nursing.
  • Current Division 1 Nurse Registration with AHPRA.
  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with LLN competency or any postgraduate adult education qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in student-centered teaching and the ability to work within a professional and motivated academic team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to the academic and administrative environment of the faculty.
