About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and seat guests warmly, assist with seating arrangements, and provide them with menus.
  • Take orders accurately, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure they are presented according to standard.
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure they have everything they need and address any concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness: keep the area clean and well-organised, including clearing tables, resetting, and restocking.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team: communicate orders to the kitchen and ensure that food is prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
  • Handle payments: present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
  • Upsell and promote: suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the guests' experience.
  • Handle guest requests: address special requests and accommodate guests' needs to the best of your ability.
  • Safety and hygiene: follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
