Streetlight Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Streetlight Technician to join our team in the Australian Capital Territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operation and maintenance of the streetlighting network.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To conduct asset audits, inspections, and electrical work to ensure that streetlight infrastructure assets meet relevant standards, specifications, and codes.
  • To support streetlight network operations and coordinate works with external contractors.
  • To provide guidance to contractors in the delivery of works under a partnership-based contract form.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • To hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management, or accreditation with a recognized professional body within Australia.
  • To have significant building or infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
  • To hold technical qualifications, including current Electrical License Certification 3 (mandatory) or Linesman Certification 3 (highly desirable).

Requirements:

  • To be a permanent resident of Australia.
  • To hold a valid driver's license (HR or MR).
  • To have a pre-employment medical clearance.
  • To possess an authority to enter construction sites (white card or equivalent).
  • To be prepared to wear high-visibility workwear, steel-capped boots, and appropriate PPE.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • To be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • To be able to implement traffic control plans or gain this ability within three months of engagement.
