Job Title: Employment Opportunity Coach

As an Employment Opportunity Coach, you will provide high-quality support to individuals in achieving their employment goals. You will work closely with customers to identify and address employment and non-employment related barriers, empowering them to secure sustainable employment and improve their overall wellbeing.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized employment plans for customers, ensuring they understand the program requirements and expectations.
  • Coordinate assistance to improve customers' employment prospects, including self-esteem building, vocational and non-vocational interventions, and job matching.
  • Deliver group-based sessions to enhance customers' non-vocational skills and job search abilities.
  • Maintain relationships with community organizations to ensure holistic support is provided.
  • Regularly review customers' requirements to tailor support to their individual circumstances.
  • Support participants in finding employment through reverse marketing calls to employers.

Location and Type of Position

The role is based in Sale, VIC, and is a Full Time Permanent position.

About You

  • You are passionate about helping others achieve their full potential.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, liaise, and consult with various stakeholders.
  • You have well-developed customer service skills and can facilitate small groups effectively.
  • You are proficient in computer applications, including Windows and MS Office.
  • You understand and can work within a contractually compliant environment.
  • You may hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Employment Services or related fields.
  • You must hold a current driver's licence and be willing to undergo a satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Card as a pre-condition of employment.
