Operational Excellence Manager

This role leads a small team within the procurement function and plays a key part in executing both group and site-based sourcing strategies.

The manager will ensure procurement activities are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business requirements. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders to integrate purchasing and supply strategies that support operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies for goods and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Engage with business units to understand needs and provide strategic procurement advice
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procurement procedures
  • Provide leadership, training, and development to team members

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Experience in fast-paced operational environments preferred
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Finance desirable
